This old photograph shows the family of John Zaddock and Rhoda W. (Cline) Cacy. The little girl is their firstborn child, Edna. Edna was born in February 1898. On the 1900 U. S. Census, we find the family in the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. Therefore, this picture was probably taken there in the early 1900s.
Note the similarity between Rhoda's picture here and the one on a separate page, showing her with her cousin, Laura. They are believed to have been very close as another picture shows her daughters with Rhoda's mother, Nancy, visiting the Fulton family.
John Z. Cacy is listed on the 1900 U. S. Census with the occupation of "Dealer (Drugs)." Later, in 1910, he is listed as a farmer. After this, the family must have moved to Sapulpa, where the "mystery photo" of the J. Z. Cacy store is believed to have been taken.
According to Lora Greer Cacy, Rhoda died in a tragic accident. She was accidentally shot by John's cousin. To date, we don't know where Rhoda is buried or exactly when she died. John remarried in Sapulpa in 1924 and is buried there in a local cemetery.
