This is the only portrait we have of Alfred Cowles and Barbara Cornelia (Houser) Jones.  The original had no indication of when or where it was taken.

As an educated guess, this photo was taken in 1908 around the time of their 50th anniversary in O'Fallon, Illinois.

This great photo shows the entire extended family of Alfred Cowles and Barbara Cornelia (Houser) Jones on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

This photo was taken on or about 26 August 1908 in front of the Jones family home in O'Fallon, Illinois.
