This photo is reputed to be of the family of Caleb Hart. If so, it would have to have been taken before 1860, probably in Collin County, Texas.
The author has no way of knowing for sure, who is who, as there are more people in the picture than can be accounted for from known family history. But we can make some good educated guesses, based upon what is known of the family to date. From left to right, front row: Caleb Hart, Sarah (Olive) Hart, Parthenia Susan Hart, Henry T. Hart, possibly Elizabeth Jane Hart. From left to right, back row: Sarah Margaret Hart, and the man who is sitting between two women who could be sisters is believed to be our Timothy James Hart.
The remaining unidentified female members of the family, in birth order, are Harriet Henrietta and Cordelia Frances Hart. This could account for two of the remaining four women on the back row, but no clear idea of who is who. And no clear idea of who the remaining two women could be.
