Hart Family Photos

The following images are all that have been discovered of our Hart family heritage.   Each picture here can be "clicked" to see a larger image and more information.

This remarkable photo is supposed to be the family of Caleb Hart, handed down through the descendants of the little girl in the front.

If so, then it would have to have been taken before 1860, probably in Collin Co., Texas.

This photo was probably taken about 1880 in Cooke County, Texas.

A mystery is what happened to a pciture of the male members of the family, if it was ever taken.

This photo was probably taken at the same time as the two photos below of John Caleb and Ruth Ann Hart.

We can only speculate, but they were probably taken in Hale Co., Texas, sometime before 1906.

This nice photo shows second oldest son, James Timothy, and his wife, Fannie.

We can only speculate, but it was probably taken in Hale Co., Texas, sometime the early years of their marriage, probably before 1910.

This photo was probably taken at the same time as the two photos above.

We can only speculate, but they were probably taken in Hale Co., Texas, sometime before 1906.

This photo is of Erlon Frederick Hart, date and location unknown at present.

Erlon Frederick "Lonnie" Hart and his brother, John, pictured above, worked together as cattle drivers before 1900.

This photo is of Ruth Ann (Hart) Pipkin, date and location unknown at present, although it was probably in Hale Co., Texas.

Ruth Ann married Amos Edward Pipkin in 1898 and lived most of her adult life in Hale Co., Texas, near Abernathy.

This photo was taken by the author in August, 1978 about 5 miles SE of present day Celina, Collin County, Texas

This church was established in about 1852 by the family of Caleb Hart and was, for a time, a Texas State Historical Site.

This photo was taken before December 1891, probably at his home near Stratford, Garvin Co,. Oklahoma.

He was a first cousin to our family and a locally famous U. S. Marshall in Indian Territory for killing the last of the Dalton gang.

A picture of Saphronia "Fronia" (Hart) Roberson and her family can be found under the Roberson branch of our family tree.
